Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel confirmed to reporters on Friday that second-year wide receiver A.J. Brown won't play in Sunday's home opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars because of a bone bruise on his knee.
As Turron Davenport of ESPN explained, Brown wore a band on his left knee after missing some action during training camp but was in the lineup for the team's Week 1 win over the Denver Broncos. The 23-year-old tallied five catches on eight targets for 39 receiving yards.
Additionally, Corey Davis, Tennessee's leading receiver in the victory over Denver, is dealing with a hamstring issue but is currently expected to start after practicing on Friday. He notched seven catches for 101 yards this past Monday.
