Andrew Nelles / The Tennessean / USA TODAY NETWORK

A scary moment unfolded during Thursday Night Football, with Tennessee wide receiver Treylon Burks appearing to suffer a significant injury in the fourth quarter.

Burks attempted to make a fourth down catch to keep the Titans’ drive alive. But whole trying to haul in the pass from Will Levis, he landed awkwardly at the sideline, rolled onto his side and was unable to leave the field.

Medical personnel attended Burks and the receiver exited the game on a stretcher.

During the broadcast, it was reported that Burks had full movement in his extremities. Staff transported the receiver to a nearby hospital for further evaluation.

Before leaving the game on a stretcher, several of Burks’ teammates kneeled around him. The nature of the injury wasn’t immediately known, but movement from the receiver is obviously a good sign.

Prior to his exit from Thursday’s game, Burks hauled in two passes for 23 yards. Entering the game in Pittsburgh, the receiver totaled six catches for 99 yards.

Pittsburgh defeated Tennessee 20-16. The Steelers improved to 5-3 on the season while the Titans dropped to 3-5.
