Pittsburgh Steelers edge rusher TJ Watt was very pleased with the record contract extension he signed with the team on Thursday.

Watt shared a post to Instagram just as news of the new contract was breaking. He posted a picture of himself celebrating during a game, with a caption consisting of three battery emojis.

Watt essentially broke his own news here, and made it very clear that he was thrilled to be staying with the Steelers. The agreement comes after months of trade rumors as the Steelers star was dissatisfied with his contract.

The Steelers maintained that they had no desire to trade Watt, and were solely focused on getting a deal done. They proved that with the amount of money they were willing to hand out to him.

Watt had 61 tackles and 11.5 sacks with 6 forced fumbles in 17 games last season. He will turn 31 in October.
