Tom Brady crowns 49ers legend Jerry Rice the G.O.A.T. receiver
Neville E. Guard-USA TODAY Sports

San Francisco 49ers legend Jerry Rice is widely considered the greatest wide receiver ever to play the game. There is little debating that status when you ask another legend of the game, former quarterback Tom Brady.

In a recent video, Brady, who grew up a passionate 49ers fan, is seen opening a pack of football cards from his rookie season. His face lights up when he pulls a card featuring none other than Rice.

"Jerry Rice," Brady said. "Gotta love me a Jerry Rice. Come on. Best receiver of all time, right?"

Brady added, "That's pretty cool, and I was the biggest Miner fan and the biggest Jerry Rice fan. Pretty good memories."

Rice played 20 seasons in the NFL and holds several all-time records that still stand today, including most career receptions, receiving yards, and touchdown catches. He helped lead the 49ers to three Super Bowl championships and is renowned not only for his on-field production but also for his relentless work ethic and commitment to excellence.

It's clear that Rice holds a special place in Brady's heart, an acknowledgment that greatness always recognizes greatness.
