Tom Brady is always included in NFL GOAT conversations. However, the seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback did not hesitate in giving Aaron Rodgers his flowers.
The Pittsburgh Steelers QB prepares for his 22nd season and second with the franchise. He led his team to an AFC North title but lost 30-6 to the Houston Texans in the Wild Card Round.
Rodgers is already 42 years old, but he showed last year that he can still compete and be successful at the highest level.
Brady expressed admiration for Rodgers' game. He also highlighted the one-time Super Bowl champion's accuracy.
“I think there’s no greater passer of the football than Aaron Rodgers,” Brady said, via the "Stick To Football" podcast.
“There’s certain people, you see everyone do it, and then you see one person throw the ball that much better. Aaron Rodgers was incredible.
"(It’s) hard to put into words how incredible he passes the ball. The way it comes out of his hand, the way it spins and delivers with pace and accuracy. There’s only probably three people in the history of the NFL that could do it like him.”
Rodgers and Brady competed against each other five times, including once in the playoffs. They first clashed in 2006, while they last met in 2021. Brady holds a 3-2 head-to-head record.
Brady will continue to serve as an analyst for Fox Sports next season. He signed a 10-year, $375 million contract with the network in 2022. Meanwhile, Rodgers agreed to a one-year deal with the Steelers worth up to $25 million.
