  • Tom Brady now serves as Fox Sports' top NFL analyst after retiring from football.
  • His latest Power Rankings place the Colts at No. 1, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at fourth.
  • Brady anticipates a major matchup in Week 10, calling it the “game of the year.”

Tom Brady spent the final three seasons of his decorated NFL career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After suiting up for the New England Patriots for 20 years and winning six Super Bowl titles, the legendary quarterback took his talents to Tampa, where he would secure his seventh and final Super Bowl trophy in 2021.

These days, Brady keeps himself busy with his day job with Fox Sports, where he serves as the network’s top NFL analyst. The three-time AP MVP took on this role post-retirement by signing a 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox Sports.

Part of Brady’s responsibilities for the network is to come up with his weekly Power Rankings. His latest edition was revealed on Tuesday.

Claiming the top spot on the list after Week 8 are the Indianapolis Colts, who are coming off a dominant 38-14 win over the Tennessee Titans to secure their fourth straight win. Daniel Jones and Co. currently have the best record in the NFL at 7-1, and Brady believes they deserve the No. 1 spot in his Power Rankings.

After climbing all the way to the top spot in Week 6, the Buccaneers fell to fourth in Week 7. They kept the same standing after Week 8, following their 23-3 win over the New Orleans Saints. Brady had nothing but good things to say about his former team.

“Tampa got back on track, blowing out a divisional opponent on the road in New Orleans,” Brady said. “That is not easy.

“Bouncing back after losses is such a huge part of what makes a championship-caliber team in this league, and the Bucs did just that.”

As Brady said, it was a nice bounce-back win for Tampa after they lost to the Lions in Week 7, 24-9.

What captured the attention of the 15-time Pro Bowler, however, is what’s ahead for the Bucs. At this point, Brady is already very much looking forward to the Buccaneers-Patriots game in Week 10.

“The bye week comes at a great time for this team, with a huge matchup against the Pats on the horizon,” he said. “Game of the year alert? I think so.”

Not only will Brady’s two former teams battle it out in Week 10, but it’s also going to be a matchup against two of the top sides in the league. Tampa is 6-2 and is sitting atop the NFC South. The Pats, on the other hand, are leading the AFC East also with a 6-2 record.

This showdown will also pit two of the top quarterbacks in the game, Baker Mayfield and Drake Maye, both of whom are following in Brady’s footsteps in their respective teams.

It’s the Buccaneers who will host that Week 10 matchup on Nov. 9, with kickoff from Raymond James Stadium scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET.
