No one would have ever guessed years ago that Tom Brady would hold such a massive impact on Las Vegas sports.
Over the past couple of years, Brady has gained stakes in ownership of both the Las Vegas Raiders and Las Vegas Aces. Bringing his championship pedigree to Sin City, the future Hall of Famer’s presence raised the prestige of both teams instantaneously. Despite only being active for a short period, Brady is already doing his part to turn Las Vegas into a sports hub.
Now, it sounds as though Brady is interested in expanding his influence in the Las Vegas sports world, but not in the traditional sense.
In an interview with Fox News, Brady subtly hinted that he is interested in making an appearance at WrestleMania 41, which is being held at Allegiant Stadium on April 19 and 20.
“I may be there,” Brady told the outlet. “But it’s amazing what’s going on there, and it’s amazing what’s happening with WWE and all the different things surrounding that.”
If Brady does appear at WrestleMania, it will be the latest crossover between the NFL and the WWE.
At WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia last year, former Eagles center Jason Kelce and current offensive tackle Lane Johnson interfered in order to help Rey Mysterio and Andrade win their tag team match at the event, prompting a huge ovation from the hometown fans. Lifelong wrestling fan and San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle has made frequent appearances, as well as using recently-signed WWE superstar Penta’s “cero miedo” taunt to celebrate touchdowns. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has even got involved, interacting with Logan Paul during an episode of Monday Night Raw.
While it is uncertain what Brady’s involvement will be at WrestleMania, his appearance will only strengthen his connection to Las Vegas, as well as highlight his commitment to the growth of sports in the city.
