With Week 1 in the books, attention has already shifted to Week 2, headlined by a Super Bowl rematch between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.

The Chiefs will host Philadelphia at Arrowhead Stadium, though they enter the matchup 0-1 after falling to the Los Angeles Chargers in Brazil. The Eagles, meanwhile, opened their season with a 24-20 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night, moving to 1-0.

The showdown is scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET on Fox Sports, with Tom Brady on the broadcast.

Ahead of the matchup, Brady had some strong words about Patrick Mahomes emerge following the release of the season premiere of "Cold as Balls" with Kevin Hart on Tuesday. The comments were originally filmed back on June 21 at Fanatics Fest in New York, where Brady praised Mahomes while discussing the current state of NFL quarterbacks

When asked, “Who do you feel has the biggest opportunity in today’s game to possibly duplicate a version of history?”

Brady responded: “Patrick... he has a will to win, he has a desire every time he takes the field to be a great leader. Just everything he says is the right thing.”

With the episode dropping just days before one of the NFL’s most anticipated matchups—and with Brady set to be on the call alongside his Fox partner Kevin Burkhardt—it only adds to the buildup.

Brady has praised Mahomes’ greatness on multiple occasions , and the two shared memorable head-to-head battles prior to Brady’s retirement, both during his time with the New England Patriots and later with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

"In the biggest moments, you can depend on him the most," Brady said. "That's clear. There's other guys who are still developing and they need to prove it before, in my mind, I can say he's done it. They've all shown flashes of amazing things. At some point, they need to take the next step and take more ownership in what they're doing."

Already a three-time Super Bowl champion with five appearances, Mahomes is building an impressive legacy—though he still sits four Lombardi Trophies shy of Brady’s all-time record of seven.
