For the first time in 18 seasons, the Baltimore Ravens won't be led by John Harbaugh. The Super Bowl-winning coach was fired Tuesday in a move that sent shockwaves through the league.

Harbaugh was the head coach of the Ravens from 2008-2025, owning a 180-113 record and capturing a Super Bowl title. Just two days ago, he was a 44-yard field goal from taking Baltimore to the playoffs for the 13th time. Now, he finds himself looking for a new job.

"Throughout what I firmly believe is a Hall of Fame coaching career, John has delivered a Super Bowl championship to Baltimore and served as a steadfast pillar of humility and leadership. He and his family have deeply embedded themselves in this community. For these profound contributions, on and off the field, we should all be forever grateful," Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti said in a statement.

"Our goal has always been and will always be to win Championships. We strive to consistently perform at the highest level on the field and be a team and organization our fans take pride in. I will always be grateful for the extraordinary hard work and dedication displayed by John and his staff throughout the many successful year."

Former Indianapolis Colts coach Tony Dungy was stunned by Baltimore's decision to move on from Harbaugh. The Hall of Famer believes the Ravens will have a tough time replacing their longtime coach.

"I can’t believe what things have come to in the NFL. John Harbaugh has coached the Baltimore Ravens for 18 years. He took them to the playoffs 12 times. He won a Super Bowl for them," Dungy said. "The last 4 years they were 10-7, 13-4, 12-5, 8-9. They made the playoffs 3 straight years and missed this year because their kicker missed the game winning FG on the last play of the season. And he was fired???? I’m sorry but I don’t understand. Good luck Baltimore in finding a better coach."

Interest is heating up for Harbaugh.

According to ESPN insider Adam Schefter, the New York Giants will have interest in Harbaugh this offseason. They've been searching for a coach who can establish a winning culture ever since they moved on from Tom Coughlin.

Harbaugh is such a hot commodity this offseason that teams who currently have head coaches are showing interest in him, per Dianna Russini of The Athletic.

"John Harbaugh has interest from most teams with head coaching vacancies, but notably, I’m told calls are also coming in from a few teams that currently have a head coach in place," Russini said. "Lots of discussions going down tonight. Harbaugh will be at the top of many teams’ wishlists."

Suffice to say, Harbaugh will have no trouble landing on his feet.
