CBS NFL color commentator Tony Romo has been finding plenty of reasons to annoy people at home with some of his commentary in today's AFC Divisional Round game between the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens. But apparently he's gone from disagreeing with the fans to disagreeing with his own colleagues.
A controversial pass interference call late in the first half of the game led to some disagreement between Romo and CBS NFL rules analyst Gene Steratore. As Bills quarterback Josh Allen found wide receiver Keon Coleman for a pass, Coleman was interfered with by Ravens defender Tre’Davious White, causing the flags to fly.
While many fans at home felt that the call was extremely soft due to both Coleman and White jostling each other, Romo defended the flag being thrown.
“Coleman is a second round pick who’s really come on as of late and White wanted no part of, you got to let them go here, even though they’re both roughhousing each other. But to me, that’s the correct call,” Romo said.
Steratore, however, did not see it the same way. While discussing the call with the duo, he said that both players had their hands engaged with each other until Coleman disengaged. He believes it seems obvious that Coleman wasn't pushed but was merely trying to get free.
“Guys, to me, it looks like both are engaged, hands, hands. And then you’ve got both of them disengaging, with the defender falling and he’s really not pulling the receiver down with him. I would like to see a no call (there),” Steratore responded.
The two NFL people agreed to disagree, but the issue didn't stop on the CBS airwaves.
Steratore decided to take the argument off the air, going on X and remarking that he would have preferred seeing the play go down as a no-call.
"I would’ve liked to see this as a no-call. Neither player gains an advantage and both appear equally guilty of engaging in contact while the ball is in the air," Steratore posted on X.

Ultimately, the referees sided with Romo and the end result was a huge play for Buffalo that contributed to a big touchdown for them right before the half.
The game is being played on CBS. Buffalo lead 21-13 midway through the third quarter.
