Tracking 2024 NFL draft prospects invited to Chiefs' upcoming local pro day

As one of the top prospects to attend, don't expect Beebe to do much in the way of timed drills. 

Kansas State C Hayden Gillum

Gillum is an intriguing prospect, with the flexibility to play guard and center at the next level. During the 2023 college football season, Gillum recorded 940 offensive snaps with just 19 total pressures, but no sacks or penalties. 

He also had a fantastic workout at the Big 12 Pro Day. 

Kansas State LT KT Leveston

Leveston is listed at 6-foot-4 and 326 pounds and was the starting left tackle for the Wildcats for the last two seasons in Manhattan. He posted a 5.38s 40-yard dash, 1.85s 10-yard split, 27.5-inch vertical, 108-inch broad jump, 4.89s short shuttle, and 25 repetitions of 225 on the bench press at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine. He also told reporters that he's capable of playing anywhere on the O-Line. 

Kansas State RT Christian Duffie

Listed at 6-foot-5 and 300 pounds, Duffie started 41-of-49 career games, mostly at right tackle for Kansas State. He's considered dependable and could be an option to slide inside at the next level. 

KU expected to be well-represented for Chiefs' local pro day

It's unclear if Kansas OL Dominick Puni or DE Austin Booker will attend, but both players are eligible to attend. Some of their teammates, however, have been invited to the local pro day.

Kansas QB Jason Bean

Bean and the Chiefs already met at the East-West Shrine Bowl, and A to Z Sports is told he's expected to attend the Chiefs' local prospect day. There has been some talk that the talented athlete could make the switch to WR at the next level. He certainly has the size to be successful at that position in the NFL at 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds. 

Kansas LB Rich Miller Jr.

XPANDSports' Tanner Phifer reports that Miller is among the players invited to the Chiefs' local prospect day. Listed at 6-foot-1 and 230 pounds, Miller appeared in 38 career games with 35 starts for the Jayhawks. He totaled 231 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and five sacks during that span. 

Kansas TE Mason Fairchild

At the Big 12 Pro Day, Fairchild weighed in at 6-foot-3 and 248 pounds. He ran a 4.91s 40-yard dash, jumped a 31.5-inch vertical, and a 116-inch broad jump. He also posted 27 repetitions of 225 on the bench press and ran a 4.46s short shuttle and a 7.19s three-cone. He had just a 3.6% dropped pass rate during his career at Kansas. It's unclear if Fairchild will compete at the pro day or stand on his times, but he could gain interest from the team just by attending. 

The best of the rest who were invited to the Chiefs' local pro day

Kansas State WR/PR Phillip Brooks

Brooks' agency, NZone Sports Management, has confirmed that he will be among those in attendance at the Chiefs' local pro day. Brooks enters the NFL with a storied career for the Wildcats. No other player has appeared in more games at K-State (65). He finished fourth in school history in career receptions (182), seventh in receiving yards (2,127) and tied for seventh in receiving touchdowns (14). Special teams could be where Brooks makes his mark in the NFL. He ranked second in K-State history in punt-return touchdowns (4), which also tied for sixth in Big 12 history. He tied for third-most punt returns (59) and finished his career with the fifth-most punt-return yards (714) for the Wildcats. 

Brooks posted a 4.51s 40-yard dash, a 4.02s short shuttle, and a 6.75s three-cone at the Big 12 Pro Day. The shuttle time would have tied for the best and his three-cone time was third-best among receivers at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine. 

Dartmouth DB Quinten Arello

Arello attended Staley High before playing football at Dartmouth, and according to his trainer, Joseph Potts, he'll be at the Chiefs' local pro day. The 6-foot and 202-pound safety had an incredible pro day, posting a 4.4s 40-yard dash, a 43.5-inch vertical jump, and a 126-inch broad jump, to go along with a 6.88s three-cone. 

Arello is the type of athlete who could see a transition to nickel or even cornerback in the NFL, given his rare speed and athleticism. 

Washburn WR Collin Wilson

XPANDSports' Tanner Phifer reports Wilson will attend the local prospect day. Wilson posted 73 catches for 1,007 receiving yards with 11 touchdowns in five seasons with the Ichabods. His father was Greg “Buzz” Wilson, a member of the Washburn NAIA Nationa Champion Team (1986-89). 

Central Missouri DL David Olajiga

A source confirmed to A to Z Sports that Olajiga will be in attendance. Listed at 6-foot-3 and 319 pounds, Olajiga has 32 career games played for the Mules. He recorded 98 total tackles, nine sacks, 20 tackles for loss, one pass batted, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and four field goal blocks.

The London, England native is a two-time First-Team All-MIAA selection. He attended the Missouri Pro Day and reportedly ran a 5.03s 40-yard dash. He jumped a 34.5-inch vertical, which would’ve been the top mark for anyone at the combine weighing over 310 pounds.
