
Top CBS Sports reporter Tracy Wolfson recalled her crazy journey to Washington, D.C., where she’ll cover the 2026 NCAA tournament Sweet 16. Wolfson became one of the best in her job over the years.
She didn’t spare resources to give fans a solid job, as she did during the 2024 tournament. Additionally, she shares every tiny detail about players, as he did with Bo Nix after the Denver Broncos star suffered a season-ending injury in January.
It seemed like fans couldn’t see Wolfson do her thing on Friday after she had to switch her transportation.
Wolfson originally would take the train to Washington, D.C. However, after learning that the trains were delayed, she opted to fly out of Newark, only to realize it was a terrible choice.
“So was supposed to take the train but DC has an event at the station w/ delays expected. So decided to fly. Nothing like getting to Newark and finding out they’ve closed all checkpoints but one. No clear, no TSA pre check or touch-less. No warning. No chance anyone’s making their flights,” Wolfson wrote.

She will cover the duels between No. 1 seed Duke and No. 5 seed St. John’s. Then, she will work on the duel between No. 3 Michigan State and No. 2 UConn.
