Trade Pitch Suggests Raiders Trade Maxx Crosby To Historic NFL Team To Draft Shedeur Sanders

With the 2024 NFL season coming to an end, the Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the eighth pick in the upcoming draft.

The team held the number one pick just a couple of weeks ago, but back-to-back victories have pushed them back in the order, making it unlikely that they would be able to draft Shedeur Sanders, who has shared a mutual interest with the team in joining them.

However, there is still a possible scenario where Las Vegas could still get Sanders in the draft, but it would cost them. According to Savage Sports, a Boston media outlet focused on the Patriots, there is an avenue for the Raiders to ascend in the draft order. Unfortunately, it may end up costing them their superstar pass rusher.

In a recent trade scenario, it was suggested that the Raiders could move star pass rusher Maxx Crosby, a first and second-round pick in 2025, and a first-round pick in 2026 to secure New England's draft spot, which is currently the No. 1 slot.

The Patriots are likely to keep that top pick, with their final game being against the Buffalo Bills. If this transaction were to happen, the Raiders would be able to draft Sanders with their pick, finally solidifying their quarterback of the future.

While it would be a lot to give up for Las Vegas, trades like this have happened in the past, and Crosby has been vocal about wanting to win. The Patriots don't seem like they are close to contending for it all, but they do have some major pieces in place.

It is also worth noting that multiple Raiders owners have said they aren't trading Crosby.
