Travis Etienne endured the worst season of his career by far in 2024. After a stellar 2023, Etienne held tremendous value in dynasty leagues, being the RB1 on a good offense. Things have changed for Etienne and the Jaguars as a whole, leaving some serious doubts. This is the dynasty outlook for Etienne.

Travis Etienne: Dynasty Outlook For Struggling Jaguars Back

Current Production

Coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons, many expected Etienne to have similar production in 2024. He opened the season as the lead back and scored two touchdowns in the opening two weeks but hit a wall after that. He did not score a single touchdown for the rest of the season and did not cross 68 rushing yards in a game.

A costly fumble in Week 1 against Miami and some niggling injuries seem to have shaken his confidence. He ended the season with 558 rushing yards despite only missing two games. The emergence of Tank Bigsby did not help his case, although Etienne did retain most of the receiving volume, catching 39 passes to Bigsby’s seven.

Etienne Dynasty Price

KeepTradeCut lists Etienne as the RB27 in dynasty. He started the season as the dynasty RB7, but his stock plummeted as the season progressed. It’s difficult to believe that Etienne will be as bad next season as he was in this one, but his future does not look very promising. If you wish to bank on Etienne, he is typically worth a late second or early third-round pick.

Etienne Dynasty Outlook

It’s not easy to gauge Etienne’s value because there are so many questions. Was this just a down season, or is this what he really is? Has Tank Bigsby fully usurped him as the Jaguars RB1? Will Etienne even be on the Jaguars in 2025? All of these questions are significant regarding his outlook.

Bigsby took the bulk of the carries, but Etienne could still have a niche as a receiving back. This, however, would only make him an RB3/FLEX option at best on fantasy rosters. If he changes teams, it could be a different story. Etienne was subject to trade rumors near the trade deadline, and some have persisted.

The Dallas Cowboys were a team often mentioned, but now, incoming rookie running back Ashton Jeanty has been heavily mocked to them, which would shut down rumors of Etienne.

The Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders could be suitable partners for a trade, but one way or another, the Jaguars will probably trade Etienne in the offseason. His contract runs out in 2026, and the Jaguars are unlikely to renew him.

What to Do With Travis Etienne in Dynasty Leagues

If you were able to trade Etienne early in the season when he still had good value, well done. For now, his stock is so low that he could be worth holding onto, in case he rebounds a bit with Jacksonville or ends up on another team with an increased role.
