Travis Kelce made history in Week 11 after he recorded his fourth touchdown of the season against the Denver Broncos. The score marked the 84th total touchdown of his career with the Kansas City Chiefs, setting a new franchise record for total TDs.

Kelce surpassed Priest Holmes, who had 83 total touchdowns with the Chiefs from 2001 to 2007. The 36-year-old tight end completed a 21-yard reception from Patrick Mahomes, which gave Kansas City a 19-16 lead in the fourth quarter of the game.

However, the Chiefs ended up losing to the Broncos, 22-19. The loss dropped Kansas City to 5-5 on the season and put them under a lot of pressure as they try to qualify for the playoffs with six games remaining.

Naturally, despite making history, Kelce was in no mood to talk about his record following the Chiefs loss.

"If you're going to ask me about the record, I could care less about that right now," Kelce said following Sunday's loss.

During the latest episode of his "New Heights" podcast, however, the Chiefs star finally acknowledged the historic feat. After his brother Jason Kelce told him not to downplay the achievement, the 10-time Pro Bowler said "it is an honor."

"Obviously, right now it's sour because it's coming off of a [expletive] loss," Kelce shared. "But I got so much respect for the organization, so much respect for the guys that have paved the way, not only in the Chiefs organization, but in the National Football League that have made an opportunity for myself to come in and make a living, live out my childhood dreams, man."

Kelce did try to downplay his record, though, noting that he's "just a product of my environment."

"I just love coming into work, man. When you come into work with the right mindset and the right attitude, you got a really good coach and a really good quarterback, you stay long enough, they don't fire you for 13 years, man, you start to pile up some stats," Kelce stated.

Regardless, Kelce is appreciative of what he has accomplished and said that he plans to add more to his touchdown tally. Nonetheless, his focus remains on getting the Chiefs to the playoffs.
