Super Bowl LIX could be Travis Kelce's final game of his NFL career, especially if the Kansas City Chiefs win their third Super Bowl in a row.
It would be the fourth Super Bowl of Kelce's career, allowing him to walk off into the sunset if he chooses.
He's delivered plenty of emotional speeches to the Chiefs over the years and according to James Palmer, his latest before Super Bowl LIX brought him to tears.
"I’m told just like last year Travis Kelce was moved to tears during his speech to the team last night at the team hotel. He’s an emotional person, and some in the organization don’t want to admit it, but they do believe this could be his final game. He hasn’t said anything one way or another so we’ll see," Palmer tweeted.
Kelce has played with his emotions on his sleeves during his career and Sunday's Super Bowl will be no different.
He'll have his entire family watching him along with his girlfriend and musical icon Taylor Swift.
The Chiefs are trying to make NFL history and become the first team to win three Super Bowls in a row. They've beaten the Eagles and San Francisco 49ers in each of the last two seasons.
Kelce will try to have a big game and help the Chiefs make history. In addition to potentially retiring after this game, he could propose to Swift since they've already been dating for a year and a half.
In two playoff games during the 2024 season, he has recorded nine receptions for 136 yards and a touchdown. It comes after he finished the regular season with 97 receptions for 823 yards and three touchdowns.
Kickoff for Super Bowl LIX will be at 6:30 p.m. ET on FOX.
