Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce is a fan of Cam Skattebo of the New York Giants. In a previous episode of his podcast, the four-time All-Pro tight end expressed his disappointment after hearing about Skattebo’s injury news.

The rookie running back’s outstanding season came to an abrupt and unfortunate end in Week 8 as the Giants suffered a 38-20 defeat against the defending champions, the Philadelphia Eagles. Skattebo dislocated his right ankle during the game and underwent season-ending surgery on the same night.

Skattebo ended his rookie year with 101 carries for 410 yards and five touchdowns. He also registered 24 catches for 207 yards and two receiving TDs in eight games played.

In October, Kelce left no doubt about his opinion of Skattebo. Speaking on his “New Heights” podcast, the Chiefs star had nothing but good things to say about the former Arizona State Sun Devils star as Kelce sent Skattebo his well-wishes.

“Obviously, one of the biggest storylines in the NFL is Skattebo had a pretty aggressive ankle injury,” Kelce said. “Sending all the love to him. Hopefully, he can get back. The NFL absolutely loves a (expletive) like that. Just a tough-as-nails dude. Hopefully, he gets back in tip-top shape.

“Nobody wants to see one of the most-loved players in the league get hurt like that. Obviously, what that guy’s meant to football the past couple of weeks has been pretty (expletive) fun to watch. So hopefully he gets back healthy and back to running dudes over and being the epitome of a (expletive) NFL football player.”

The latest episode of Kelce’s podcast, which he hosts with his older brother Jason Kelce, dropped on Wednesday. Incidentally, Skattebo made a cameo on the show as the much-talked-about rookie asked a peculiar question about tacos.

“Do you turn your head to eat a taco, or do you turn the taco for you?” Skattebo asked. “Are you dominant to the taco or do you turn your head for the taco? It’s about the dominance of the taco. If you’re turning the taco, you’re dominating the taco.”

Skattebo’s query was part of the show’s “No Dumb Questions” segment, where they answer various questions from fans. As for Skattebo’s taco-related concern, it was Jason Kelce who commented first.

“This guy dominates some [expletive] tacos,” Jason Kelce responded. “I don’t know what he dominates more, linebackers or tacos.”

Travis Kelce then chimed in. While he may be a fan of Skattebo, the 10-time Pro Bowler made it clear that he disagrees with the Giants star’s personal taco claim.

“He also doesn’t sound like he likes to keep what’s in the taco in the taco,” Travis Kelce said. “… You got to at least meet it halfway. You got to give it a good 45 degree.”

As Skattebo expressed, his way of dominating the taco is to tilt it to fit his mouth. Travis Kelce, however, had other ideas.

“I’ll dominate the taco by devouring the taco,” Travis Kelce continued. “… I’mma chew hard as [expletive] so that taco knows who’s boss.”

While Skattebo’s season is officially over, Kelce is in the midst of another title chase with the Chiefs. Kansas, however, suffered its second straight loss on Sunday, falling to the Denver Broncos, 22-19.

Kelce and Co. will be looking to bounce back in their next game, as they face the 8-2 Indianapolis Colts in Week 12. The Chiefs will host that matchup at Arrowhead Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET.
