Since getting drafted by the team in the third round in 2013, tight end Travis Kelce has become an instrumental part of the Kansas City Chiefs' success.

Throughout his career with the team, the Ohio native is a 10-time Pro Bowler, a four-time All-Pro selection and a three-time Super Bowl champion. Additionally, he has established himself as one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history and is still an integral part of Kansas City's offense.

It was no different during the Chiefs' 30-17 victory over the Detroit Lions this past Sunday.

In the win, Kelce recorded six receptions for 78 yards, both team highs. However, there was more for him to discuss than just his performance.

During Wednesday's episode of his "New Heights" podcast with his brother, Jason, the Chiefs star spoke about a photo of him pulling in a reception while being covered by several Lions and explained the truth behind it.

Said Jason Kelce, "Take a look at this photo where you're being held up by like five different Detroit Lions guys. Did you look at your face in this? There's an age to this face right there in the middle."

Travis responded, "This was the first catch of the game. You know how you're trying to finish, I get hit by one guy, kinda slide off him. Now I'm just getting pinballed, but I'm keeping the feet moving. Good ball security in the situation. Then I get held up. The stampede is coming. I think I locked eyes with [Chiefs offensive lineman] Trey Smith about to come clean the pile. I'm just like, 'brace yourself.' I'm like, 'Hit me, [expletive]!' The big boys are finishing downfield, man, and I was just bracing for it."

While he may not be at his peak form, Kelce remains one of the best tight ends in the NFL and is still Patrick Mahomes' most trusted weapon on offense. So far this season, the 36-year-old has recorded 28 receptions for 321 yards and two touchdowns.

As Kansas City, which is 3-3, looks to make it back to the Super Bowl for the fourth consecutive season, it must continue to rely on Kelce to produce on offense.

Kelce and the Chiefs' next game will be on Sunday when they host the 2-4 Las Vegas Raiders at 1 p.m. ET on CBS.
