Travis Kelce figured out the perfect way to include future father-in-law Scott Swift in his proposal

When it came down to the proposal, Travis Kelce clearly couldn't have done it even better. With all the details that continue to come out, it proves the Kansas City Chiefs tight end truly is the perfect man for Taylor Swift.

But there's one detail that makes this even better.

Travis' father, Ed Kelce, spoke about this monumental day during an Aug. 26 episode of The Jimmy and Nath Show, and mentioned the role Taylor's father, Scott Swift, played in the engagement.

“Travis went to ask him for permission, probably like a month ago,” Ed said. "Scott said, ‘Come on, when are you going to get this done?’”

And it turns out Travis actually had a different idea of when he was going to propose. But both Scott and Ed gave him some very important advice.

“Travis had plans to do it this next weekend before he took off for Brazil,” Ed said. “He was going to make a big production out of it. You know, wanted to make it uber special. And I told him the same thing Scott told him, asking her is what’s going to make it special. Not where you do it. You could do it on the side of the road. So Scott had told him, ‘Just get it done.’”

And he did!

Scott has started attending numerous Chiefs games with Swift since she and Kelce began dating, even wearing Kansas City gear despite being an Eagles fan.

However, considering his soon-to-be son-in-law plays for the Chiefs, his favorite team might have officially changed.
