Travis Kelce Gets Brutally Honest on Heartbreaking Super Bowl Loss

The Kansas City Chiefs fell just one win shy of becoming the first team to win three Super Bowls in a row. Not only did that not happen, but they didn't even look competitive.

Nevertheless, Travis Kelce isn't going to let that 40-22 loss break his spirit. If anything, he's focused on what's to come.

Travis Kelce won't dwell on Super Bowl loss

In a recent sit-down with ESPN's Nate Taylor, the future Hall of Famer claimed that he didn't waste much time feeling sorry for himself:

"I've thrown that thing in the trash," Kelce said. "I've moved on. It happened sooner than you can imagine. I was pretty focused on this year in the offseason."

Kelce is already familiar with that feeling, and he knows his team has everything they need to bounce back, as they went on to win two of three Super Bowls after losing at that stage to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Kelce is taking it one day at a time

There has been plenty of buzz surrounding Kelce and his potential retirement. He hasn't been the same dominant force in the past couple of years, and with his relationship with Taylor Swift, his brother's Jason retirement, and endeavors off the court, some believe he could be inching closer to the end of the road.

Again, however, Kelce doesn't want to give it that much thought. If anything, he's looking to take things one day at a time and enjoy the process:

"You've got to go through the dog days and enjoy it for what it is, man," Kelce said. "We're rocking and rolling, man. It's training camp, so you're going to feel the soreness and the heavy workload you're getting every day. You've got to enjoy it for what it is and fight through that."

Kelce, who owns multiple records and has already done more than enough to be a first-ballot Hall of Famer, doesn't have anything else to prove at this point in his career, but winners win, and he wants to compete at the highest level:

"I love it here," Kelce said. "It gets me away from everything else that's going on in this crazy world. You can really just focus in on your craft and focus in on being the best you can for the guys around you, man. Football has always been the biggest driving force I've ever had. I love coming out here and focusing on this and getting better for another run at hopefully a Super Bowl."

The Chiefs' offense is back to full strength, with Rahsee Rice and Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown being full participants in training camp. And while they may no longer be considered the team to beat in the league, people should know better than to sleep on them after all they've done.
