Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is starting to dip his toes into the acting world with a few recent Hollywood gigs.
Kelce made his acting debut in FX horror drama "Grotesquerie," which aired for the first time last September. The pilot and several other episodes were directed by Max Winkler, the son of legendary Hollywood actor Henry Winkler.
Winkler, most known for his role as "The Fonz" in "Happy Days," was impressed by Kelce's acting. During a recent interview with TMZ, the 79-year-old actor delivered some serious praise.
"My son directed Mr. Kelce, Trav, and said he was a wonderful actor," Winkler said. "I saw the show. He was great."
Winkler commented on Kelce's acting skills during a separate interview on "The Spotlight with Jessica Shaw" back in October.
"Cause you really think he's just a football player. He's really good. He's a natural, and he talked to me about it on his podcast with his brother," Winkler said.
Earlier this offseason, Kelce announced his decision to return to Kansas City for at least one more NFL season with the Chiefs. The 35-year-old tight end and his squad nearly became the first team in NFL history to notch a Super Bowl three-peat, but ultimately fell to the Philadelphia Eagles in the title game.
Kelce will make his next acting appearance in Adam Sandler's "Happy Gilmore 2," which is set to release on July 25, 2025. Kelce is also the host of Amazon Prime Video's new game show "Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?"
