In the modern era of media consumption and accessibility, NFL players have turned to multiple streaming platforms in an effort to expand their brand, relevance, status, influence, and popularity.

Travis Kelce is no exception to this rule, and with the added spotlight due to his fiancée being possibly one of the most well-known humans on the planet, Travis' voice carries a bit of weight. While on his recent episode of his podcast New Heights, Kelce gave his opinion on A.J. Brown's (a former teammate of his brother/co-host Jason Kelce) cryptic tweet.

"You’re 4-0, boss. Come on, man. It’s frustrating for A.J. (Brown) right now clearly, he’s going to social media to show it. When I show my frustration is when we aren’t rolling as an offense. But it’s also really hard for me to get mad when we’re winning. I don’t find that energy when we’re winning, putting up points, and winning football games.”

Disecting Travis Kelce's thoughts on Brown's post causing drama in Philly

To paraphrase, Travis Kelce really didn't have much sympathy for Brown due to the current state of the Eagles' success. With the Chiefs currently 2-2 and struggling to find an identity due to injuries and inconsistent play, Kelce may have the right mentality when it comes to not having the stats to match the team's success.

Perhaps it's selfishness, or maybe he doesn't feel like he's contributing enough; in the end, it may be neither. I personally always default to former Michigan head coach Schembechler’s "The Team" speech, in which the legendary head coach continues to emphasize the team over self. He also verbalizes that, while from a personal aspect it may be frustrating, for him it's hard to essentially be a "Debbie Downer" when the team is winning games and putting up points.

Maybe Brown's frustration also comes from the lack of explosiveness from the offense in general. The Eagles' offense currently ranks in the bottom three of the league, with the Patullo/Hurts combination leaving plenty of points on the field.

Overall, Brown took accountability for how his tweet could have been misinterpreted or misconstrued. Brown will have a chance to redeem himself this Sunday, when the Eagles host the Broncos at Lincoln Financial Field.
