Travis Kelce 'Hot' About Chiefs Schedule After Brazil Leak

Just hours before the full NFL schedule slate is released for all teams, the internet has circulated various leaks that give a premature announcement of key games.

For a team as popular as the Kansas City Chiefs, this is not out of the ordinary, as KC will likely feature in many primetime broadcasts - domestically and internationally.

According to a hint put out by star tight end Travis Kelce on his New Heights podcast, his team could be playing on foreign soil to start the season. He mentioned their season opener will be played in Brazil against the Los Angeles Chargers.

"I'll be there, not to do a podcast. I'll be playing football in the (expletive) heat," Kelce said in upset fashion about a potential game in Brazil.

Playing in Kansas City his entire career, Kelce has grown to favor colder playing climates than hot ones. The Brazil temperatures are expected to be in the 80s, but the humidity, Kelce claims, will make for a "miserable" environment.

"There's just something about getting close to the equator, I don't want to put on a football uniform doing that," Kelce said. "I've been in Jacksonville in September, and that's (expletive) miserable."

Thankfully for Chiefs Kingdom, these complaints won't get in the way of Kelce suiting up to begin his 13th season in the NFL. He briefly considered retirement after last season's brutal Super Bowl loss, but vowed he is committed to the 2025 season.

"If it's hot and humid and kind of what I'm expecting, I'm gonna be miserable. But we're gonna find a way to get a win," he added.

It sounds like he'll have to figure this one out.

Travis' brother and co-host Jason Kelce warned that the field conditions should be more of a concern in Brazil than the temperature. Jason recounted his former team Philadelphia Eagles' experience in a game at that same venue last season against the Green Bay Packers.

"The field was atrocious last year," Jason said. "It was noticeably bad; they were slipping all over the place. It was a bad field."

One silver lining? The Eagles went on to win the Super Bowl after beginning their season in Brazil. Kansas City hopes they can enjoy the same fate - if this leaked announcement comes true.

The Chiefs schedule is set to be released at 8 pm. E.T. on May 14.
