In Week 15 of the 2024 NFL season, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs secured their fourth consecutive win by defeating the Cleveland Browns 21-7 in Travis Kelce's hometown.

Even with the win, Chiefs fans were given a scare as Mahomes went down late in the fourth quarter with an ankle injury, forcing him to miss the remainder of the game. Backup quarterback Carson Wentz replaced the two-time MVP for the final two possessions.

Fortunately, Mahomes won't miss any time as he is set to play in Week 16. However, with left tackle D.J. Humphries ruled out, the former Texas Tech star may face more pressure off the edge than he has this season.

Mahomes was brought down five times throughout the game and was hit 12 times, and one of those QB hits may have been Kelce's fault. On a play late in the game, the tight end chip blocked a Browns defender before going into his route. This led to Mahomes facing pressure once again, forcing them to punt.

On the bench, Kelce, who was mic'd up, walked up to Mahomes and issued an apology for his minor mistake.

"Hey, my bad," Kelce said. "I ain't see you had one on you. I would have just gave you eyes."

Despite the injury to Mahomes and the amount of pressure he faced, the Chiefs were still able to secure their largest win of the season (14 points). They moved to 13-1 and hold the best record in the entire NFL.

Kansas City will get one last home game in 2024 on Saturday when they face the Houston Texans before heading to Pittsburgh to face the Steelers on Christmas.
