Travis Kelce Names the Worst Thing He’s Ever Done Without Hesitation

Before Travis Kelce dated pop star Taylor Swift, the Kansas City Chiefs star was in an on-again, off-again relationship for five years with sports reporter and social media personality Kayla Nicole.

For those who haven't faithfully followed Kelce throughout his NFL career, though, it's worth noting that the star tight end was in a relationship with Maya Benberry — the winner of the dating show he was in back in 2016 — before he dated Nicole.

Kelce was the star of the reality TV-slash-dating show called "Catching Kelce" that had seven episodes and aired from October to November 2016.

However, it's a moment in Kelce's life that he would rather forget, as he revealed during his appearance on "Bussin' With The Boys." Kelce made it clear that he regretted doing the show, noting that it "didn't set me up for anything."

"The worst thing I ever did was the dating show," Kelce said. "'Catching Kelce' was the [expletive] worst thing I ever did."

The dating show featured 50 women from 50 states competing for Travis Kelce's affections. While it started as a fun idea for the Chiefs star, he admitted that he "didn't realize what reality TV really was" and it was just a bad experience for him overall.

Kelce also shared that he was "getting smoked" by his Chiefs teammates all season for doing the show.

"Oh [expletive], everybody is going to be able to see this forever. [I was like], God [expletive] it," Kelce further stated.

For what it's worth, Kelce said in a 2023 interview that he only agreed to do the show because he needed money. According to the Chiefs tight end, he "turned down the show" several times before making the decision.

Regardless of his reason, though, it's clear that Kelce didn't like the experience. That being said, fans probably won't see him doing reality TV or going on a dating show — not that he needs it anyway, with him and Taylor Swift going stronger than ever.
