The offseason spotlight has not gone far from Travis Kelce as the future Hall of Fame tight end prepares for his 14th NFL season with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Just months after retirement speculation surrounded the 36-year-old star following another deep playoff run, Kelce is once again making headlines away from the field. Tight End University officially announced Kelce as a host for Year 6 of the annual event he helped create alongside George Kittle and Greg Olsen.

The announcement came through TEU’s official Instagram page and immediately generated buzz throughout the football world as the NFL offseason continues heating up.

For Kelce, it is another sign that shows his impact on the game extends far beyond Sundays in Kansas City.

Tight End University Continues as One of Football’s Biggest Offseason Events

Founded in 2021, Tight End University was created to bring together NFL tight ends for several days of collaboration, training and mentorship during the offseason.

According to the organization’s official website, the event includes film study, on-field drills, recovery and rehabilitation work, along with opportunities for players to learn directly from veterans and retired legends at the position.

What started as a unique offseason summit has quickly grown into one of football’s most recognizable player-run events.

Kelce has played a massive role in that growth.

The Chiefs' star remains one of the most popular and influential players in the NFL, and his presence continues to help TEU expand both its visibility and reach every year. The event has also become known for its community work and charitable initiatives, with proceeds supporting causes selected by the hosts.

TEU’s popularity has exploded in recent years as fans have become increasingly interested in behind-the-scenes access to NFL stars during the offseason.

Travis Kelce Still Building Legendary NFL Resume Entering Year 14

Kelce enters the 2026 season with one of the greatest resumes any tight end has ever assembled.

The longtime Chiefs star is a three-time Super Bowl champion, an 11-time Pro Bowler and a seven-time All-Pro selection. He also owns multiple NFL postseason records for a tight end, including playoff receptions, postseason receiving touchdowns and postseason receiving yards.

Even after years of elite production, Kelce continues adding milestones to his career.

He finished the 2025 season with 76 receptions for 851 yards and five touchdowns before helping Kansas City make another playoff appearance. Earlier this offseason, Kelce ultimately decided to return to the Chiefs after months of speculation surrounding his future.

Kansas City later rewarded him with a new contract extension, ensuring the franchise icon will continue catching passes from Patrick Mahomes for the foreseeable future.

Now, before his 14th NFL season officially begins, Kelce is once again helping headline one of the sport’s fastest-growing offseason traditions while continuing to strengthen a Hall of Fame legacy that already ranks among the greatest the NFL has ever seen.
