Travis Kelce opens up on Taylor Swift relationship, paparazzi changing habits

NFL superstar Travis Kelce initially rose to fame due to his play on the football field. He is considered one of the greatest tight ends of all time, as he’s accumulated three Super Bowl wins and been selected to ten Pro Bowls and four All-Pro teams.

His fame however rose to another level when it was revealed that he had began dating music superstar Taylor Swift in 2023. This has brought a whole new crop of eyes to the sport, labeling Kelce and Swift as one of America’s biggest power couples.

The career Kansas City Chief joined the “Bussin with the Boys” podcast with Taylor Lewan and Will Compton to discuss Swift and how his popularity has grown so much in recent years.

“We’re having fun with it, man,” Kelce said about his relationship. “Yeah, being a couple, dude. You already know. It gets thrown out there as it’s like we’re trying to seek attention every now and then. But it’s like, we’re just enjoying life and having fun, going to hockey games, kind of introducing her to some more of the sports world.”

Over the past two years, Swift has been seen at many Chiefs games with Travis’ mother Donna and Patrick Mahomes‘ wife Brittany. The pop superstar also recently made a surprise appearance at Travis and George Kittle‘s “TEU” camp, and was spotted at game four of the 2025 Stanley Cup Final between the Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers.

Going out into public now definitely has its consequences now for Kelce. He hilariously touched on this while recalling paparazzi sneaking on him while playing golf.

“I’m just playing golf and all of a sudden in the trees there’s a f***ing guy with a camera,” Kelce said. “Like, ‘Oh s***, I gotta go to the restroom now. I can’t just go over here to take a pi--.'”

Along with discussing how his partner has changed his life, Kelce also touched on his potential retirement in the near future.

“It’s the last [year] on the contract man,” Kelce said. “But I’m just focused on this one. I don’t know what next year is gonna feel like. I don’t know what I’m gonna feel like in March or April next year when I have to make that decision or I try and figure out what’s next for me. But I know that I’ve got one [year] on the contract and we’ve got a hell of a f****** team and got a lot of f****** talent and I’m pumped for this year.”
