Travis Kelce enters the 2025 season fresh off a two‑year, $34.25 million contract extension signed in April 2024 and a campaign that yielded 97 receptions for 823 yards and three touchdowns.
Kansas City also secured its ninth straight AFC West title but was bested by the Philadelphia Eagles in its Super Bowl LIX run.
Touching on that, Kelce addressed reporters at the American Century Championship about what the Chiefs need to achieve in the upcoming season, just days after officially committing to play the 2025 NFL season.
"Obviously, just win the Super Bowl. We made it all the way to advance and just gotta finish." Kelce pointed out.
"I think we have an unbelievable room coming back. Obviously amazing coaches, amazing leadership in the organization. I'm just excited to get back after it and kind of rebuild this team as we do every year."
Kelce’s optimism mirrors the front‑office tone in Kansas City. Head coach Andy Reid and GM Brett Veach have both lauded the core that returns from last year’s deep playoff run, pointing to veteran leadership and a coaching staff that knows how to maximize its talent.
At Thursday’s American Century Championship karaoke night, Jason Kelce and his brother performed Bob Seger’s “Old Time Rock & Roll” complete with dance moves and cowboy hats. Their lively duet went viral.

"Typically, I don't practice but my brothers are very strategic human beings. We practiced a little bit in the room before," junior Kelce revealed about the performance.
"But we had been practicing that song with my father our entire life. A little old-time rock and roll. My dad's music choice, music taste growing up, kind same as mine, so I love it."
