Tre Harris: Chargers Rookie Wide Receiver Dynasty Outlook
USA Today Sports

Tre Harris was drafted 55th overall by the Los Angeles Chargers in the 2025 NFL Draft . He gives the Chargers a solid WR2 to play alongside Ladd McConkey. How are the Chargers going to use him, and what is Tre Harris’ dynasty outlook?

Dynasty Outlook for Tre Harris

Current Production

Harris spent three seasons at Louisiana Tech before transferring to Ole Miss for the final two seasons of his career. He had 54 receptions for 985 receiving yards and eight touchdowns in twelve games in 2023 and 60 receptions for 1030 yards and seven touchdowns in only eight games in 2024. He averaged over 128 receiving yards per game last season.

Harris Dynasty Price

According to KeepTradeCut , a website that crowdsources dynasty values from players who use the site, Harris is the WR44. Before the NFL Draft, he was the WR66. He has skyrocketed up dynasty ranks, meaning fantasy managers are in love with his landing spot. Harris is ranked just behind Chris Godwin, Khalil Shakir, and Keon Coleman, while ranked ahead of Josh Downs, Courtland Sutton, and Michael Pittman Jr. Harris is being drafted in the middle of the second round of dynasty rookie drafts. He is being drafted right around Luther Burden , Kyle Williams, and Jayden Higgins.

Tre Harris Dynasty Outlook

Ladd McConkey had an excellent rookie season for the Chargers, catching 82 receptions for 1149 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. McConkey plays most of his snaps in the slot, so the Chargers need a physical X receiver. That was supposed to be Quentin Johnston, but he struggled with too many drops in his career. He had seven drops last season and just 55 receptions. McConkey had two fewer drops on 23 more targets. Johnston has taken a lot of scrutiny in his first two seasons, and Harris might just push him further down the depth chart.

The third leading receiver from last season, Josh Palmer, left in free agency to join the Bills. However, they did sign Mike Williams back after he was almost irrelevant last season with the Jets and the Steelers, catching just 21 passes in 18 games. The Chargers had a massive need at wide receiver. They went out and got Justin Herbert his WR2 of the future to pair with McConkey.

The one concern with being drafted to the Chargers is that they love to run the ball. They signed Najee Harris in free agency and then used their first-round draft pick on Omarion Hampton. They are going to want to run the football. However, the successful run game will set up the passing game, and Herbert will look for Harris and McConkey when he does throw. Even with lower pass rates, Harris should see plenty of targets to be successful in fantasy for the next few seasons.

Should You Draft Tre Harris in Dynasty?

Yes, Harris is one of my favorite second-round targets in rookie dynasty drafts entering the 2025 season. We saw in the Wild Card Playoff game against the Texans how badly the Chargers needed a second wide receiver to pair with McConkey. Harris becomes that guy for them who can play on the outside, while McConkey plays in the slot. Both of these receivers will be able to grow with Herbert for many years to come, and the Chargers should be one of the most fun offenses to watch in the league next year with all of their young talent.
