After a storied career at Iowa, Cooper DeJean seamlessly made the transition into the NFL with the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. Football fans should be excited to know that there is a younger DeJean on a trajectory to also do special things on the gridiron.
Jaxx DeJean, a sophomore at OABCIG High School in Iowa, attends the same school that Cooper was a multi-sport star at. Following his brother’s lead, he also plays basketball, baseball and runs track. However, while Cooper was 6-foot-0, 200-pounds in high school, Jaxx is already 6-foot-5, 200-pounds. This helps make his versatility on the field even more unique.
Not surprisingly, Iowa was quick to offer Jaxx. This was followed by offers from Kansas State and UAB. However, his most recent offer, which he announced recently on X (formerly Twitter) has garnered the most attention.
After a great talk with @Coach_Casula I am extremely excited to announce that I have received an offer from @UMichFootball @Jack_Dunaway96 〽️ pic.twitter.com/VWbmKmFl4x

Having Michigan join the chase this early helps solidify the likelihood that Jaxx will become a national recruit. Expect his offer list to grow quickly and steadily in the coming months as he heads into his junior season this fall. Cooper’s recruiting process was somewhat uneventful, but that won’t be the case with Jaxx.
The Hawkeyes will always be considered the favorite to grab their second DeJean, but with every national offer he adds, the battle to grab Jaxx’s signature will get just a little bit more difficult.
