TreVeyon Henderson shares alarming health update

New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson shared a concerning update about his health on Friday.

Henderson revealed that he was recently hospitalized for several days due to “an unexpected and unusual medical emergency involving a series of unexplained neurological symptoms.” While tests came back positive, Henderson still has no explanation for what caused his hospitalization.

Henderson said he is working with specialists and physical therapists on his recovery, and offered no timetable for a potential return.

Henderson, 24, missed practice on Oct. 29 with what was designated as an illness. He has not practiced since, and he missed last Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins as a result. No further details have been offered by either Henderson or the Patriots about his medical situation, and it appears both parties are still trying to sort out the details of what could be impacting the running back.

In six games this season, Henderson has rushed for 203 yards and a touchdown on 52 carries.
