Unfortunately, we will not see Trevon Diggs on a football field for the rest of the year. The former All-Pro cornerback tore his ACL on Thursday during practice, ending what was an exciting start to the 2023 season. A non-contact injury during a 1-on-1 drill, the Dallas Cowboys’ defense will have to work without one of its best players.
Just a few hours following the news, Diggs penned a message on Twitter (X). He thanked everyone for checking in on him, with this being the first significant injury of his NFL career. Diggs believes he will be back and “better” than before — hopefully for the beginning of the 2024 season.
“Thank you for all the prayers and I appreciate everyone for checking on me! This is just God’s Plan,” Diggs said. “I will be back and better!”
