Tua Tagovailoa reached out to Joe Burrow after season-ending knee injury

Miami Dolphins rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa knows a little thing or two about season-ending injuries. After all, he did miss a majority of his final season at Alabama due to a season-ending hip dislocation that hurt his draft stock.

Tagovailoa would've faced fellow rookie QB, and first-overall pick, Joe Burrow this weekend when the Dolphins face the Cincinnati Bengals, but the former LSU star suffered a season-ending injury of his own, tearing his ACL against the Washington Football Team during Week 11.

While meeting with reporters on Wednesday, Tagovailoa revealed he reached out to Burrow following his knee injury, according to ESPN's Cameron Wolfe.

At this point, one can only hope both players will be healthy enough in the future to face each other in what should be a prime-time showdown.

Before his injury, Burrow was 2-7-1 on the season, completing 65.3% of his passes for 2,688 yards and 13 touchdowns against five interceptions. Tagovailoa, meanwhile, wasn't named Miami's starter until Week 8. Since then, he's 3-1, completing 61.9% of his passes for 602 yards and six touchdowns against zero interceptions.
