Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen took home his first career MVP trophy at the NFL Honors earlier this month, capping off his stellar campaign this past season.
Allen finished the 2024 NFL voting with 383 points, narrowly defeating two-time league MVP Lamar Jackson (362 points). The race was closely-contested as the dual-threat Baltimore Ravens QB put up some record-breaking stats of his own in 2024.
With Super Bowl LIX now in the rearview mirror, NFL fans, analysts and oddsmakers are already looking ahead toward the 2025 season.
According to betting odds, Allen and Jackson are the favorites to take home the 2025 NFL MVP trophy. Both quarterbacks are listed with +550 odds, leading Patrick Mahomes (+750), Joe Burrow (+750) and Jayden Daniels (+1000).

Allen won this past year's MVP trophy after completing 63.6% of his pass attempts for 3,731 yards, 28 touchdowns and six interceptions. The dual-threat QB weapon also rushed for 531 yards and 12 touchdowns.
"I'd like to acknowledge the other nominees. Joe [Burrow], Jared [Goff], Saquon [Barkley], Lamar [Jackson] all had great seasons and all could be standing here today," Allen said of his fellow MVP running mates in his acceptance speech. "You guys would be deserving of it. You guys are true stewards of the game. I look up to you guys. I admire you guys. I look forward to sharing the gridiron in the future with you guys, too."
The last player to notch back-to-back league MVP trophies was Aaron Rodgers, who accomplished the feat in 2020 and 2021.
