Two Combine Snubs Schedule Top-30 Visits with Detroit Lions

The NFL Scouting Combine offered teams the opportunity to meet with top NFL Draft prospects over the course of the past week in Indianapolis. 

Teams were allotted 20-minute formal interviews with a maximum of 45 prospects at the event. With that event over, organizations will now have the opportunity to continue interacting with prospects at Pro Days and in top-30 visits. 

The Detroit Lions will reportedly host two players on top-30 visits this week who were not invited to the NFL combine. CFL cornerback Qwan'tez Stiggers and Northern Iowa defensive tackle Khristian Boyd are both set to travel to the team's Allen Park facilities. 

Stiggers, who will visit Thursday, per the Detroit Free Press, is a particularly interesting prospect. He's trying to become only the third player to be drafted without playing so much as a snap of college football. He was named the CFL's Most Outstanding Rookie last year while playing for the Toronto Argonauts. 

Boyd, meanwhile, had 6.5 tackles for loss last season for the Northern Iowa Panthers. He was a first-team All-Missouri Valley Conference selection in 2023 and a second-team choice the season prior.
