Two Dolphins Named to One of AP’s All-Pro squads
While a Pro Bowl nod is certainly a high honor in and of itself, being named to one of the Associated Press’ two All-Pro teams stands out as the higher achievement, namely because a whole lot more players are selected to the Pro Bowl. Folks truly have to be at the cream of the crop at their positions to be an All-Pro selection, and two Miami Dolphins players just so happen to have earned the distinction for the 2025 season.
First of all, linebacker Jordyn Brooks (the NFL’s leader in tackles on the season) rightfully has been selected to the AFC’s All-Pro First Team. He is one of only two linebackers to represent the conference’s First Team, along with the Detroit Lions’ Jack Campbell.
Then there’s center Aaron Brewer, the undrafted veteran of Texas State University, who’s a member of the All-Pro Second Team. His efforts were instrumental to the Dolphins’ running game being highly effective for much of the season, and allowed Miami’s running backs to devastate defenses up the gut. The selection marks Brewers’ first All-Pro nod since starting out his NFL career in the 2020 season, and there’s a case to be made that he was the league’s best center in his sixth campaign.
Some notable All-Pro snubs for the Dolphins include running back De’Von Achane and Kicker Riley Patterson. The former averaged 84.4 rushing yards per game and a league-best 5.7 rushing yards per attempt, while the latter converted an incredible 93.1 percent of his field-goal attempts, a franchise record. However, it is worth noting that Achane has been named a Pro Bowler, so he at least got some form of recognition for his standout season.
Brooks’ and Brewer’s All-Pro selections serve as an important reminder that, while the Dolphins’ 2025 season went anything but swimmingly, some of their players still played exceptional football along the way and deserved recognition for doing so.
