The National Football Foundation recently announced that multiple former Denver Broncos could be the latest to join the College Football Hall of Fame.
Former defensive end Elvis Dumervil and running back Reggie Rivers were among the 179 players nominated for the Class of 2026.

Dumervil spent the first seven years of his career in Denver, earning All-Pro honors and three Pro Bowl selections. Dumervil was a force to be reckoned with, accumulating 225 total tackles, 63.5 sacks, 44 TFLs, 100 quarterback hits, and 16 forced fumbles in his seven seasons with the Broncos.
In his 2009 All-Pro season, Dumervil led the league with 17 sacks and collected 14 TFLs.
Prior to the Broncos, Dumervil was a standout at Louisville. The edge rusher totaled 63 tackles, 20 sacks, 22 TFLs, and an interception in his senior year.

Rivers spent his entire six-year NFL career with the Broncos. The running back ran for 428 yards, collected 675 receiving yards, and scored eight total touchdowns.
Rivers' best season came in 1992 when he had 731 total yards and four total touchdowns.
The Broncos running back cemented himself in Texas State history before going to the NFL. Rivers earned first-team All-American honors in 1990 when he ranked third in the nation in all-purpose yards and rushing yards.
Rivers was inducted into the Texas State Hall of Honor in 2003 and currently ranks third in school history in all-purpose yards.
Other Broncos who were among the Class of 2026 finalists included tight end Vernon Davis and defensive end Courtney Brown.
Davis spent the 2015 season with the Broncos, and Brown spent the final year of his career in 2005 with the Broncos, contributing 24 tackles, six TFLs, and a pair of sacks.
The 2026 NFF College Football Hall of Fame Class will be announced early in 2026 and inducted at the 68th NFF Annual Awards Dinner in Las Vegas on Dec. 8, 2026.
