Two Lions finish in the top 50 for merchandise sales during NFL league year
Junfu Han / USA TODAY NETWORK

The Detroit Lions are starting to ger more popular. With that comes a rise in merchandise sales and, of course, a rise in seeing more people outside of Detroit walking around in Lions jerseys.

The NFLPA released their Year-End Top 50 NFL Player Sales List on Monday and now we know who sold the most merchandise during the NFL's league year. They counted sales from February 29th of 2023 to March 1st of 2024.

We're not just talking about jerseys here. We're talking Funko Pops, socks, shoes, shirts, bobbleheads, memorabilia and more. This is all NFL licensed items that have player likeness.

Two Lions players made the list. Aidan Hutchinson finished in the top-20 in sales. He ranked 18th. Then receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown finished 33rd.

The top 10, in case you were wondering, were:

  1. Eagles QB Jalen Hurts
  2. Eagles C Jason Kelce
  3. Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes
  4. Chiefs TE Travis Kelce
  5. 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey
  6. Jets QB Aaron Rodgers
  7. Bengals QB Joe Burrow
  8. 49ers QB Brock Purdy
  9. Cowboys Edge Micah Parsons
  10. Vikings WR Justin Jefferson

The Eagles and Chiefs are pretty popular aren't they?

It's worth noting that this list did come out before the Lions unveiled their new uniforms. That could have an effect on next year's list though. St. Brown and Hutchinson should return to that one. I wouldn't be shocked to see Jahmyr Gibbs, Jameson Williams and Penei Sewell added to the list as well. Skill players and quarterbacks usually rule the sales and everyone loves a good offensive lineman.
