The voting for the 2025 Pro Bowl Games is complete, and the results are in.
The Las Vegas Raiders will be represented during the events, as tight end Brock Bowers and edge rusher Maxx Crosby were both named to the initial AFC roster.
Bowers was named the starter at the tight end position, besting Kansas City Chiefs superstar Travis Kelce for the nod. Crosby was named as a reserve behind Myles Garrett (Cleveland Browns) and Trey Hendrickson (Cincinnati Bengals).
In his rookie season, Bowers has proven worthy of the honor with a historic campaign. His 108 receptions and 1,144 receiving yards are not only the best among tight ends this season, but third and seventh among all pass-catchers, respectively.
The impressive season has seen Bowers break numerous rookie records. His yardage broke the long-standing record of Mike Ditka in 1961, while his receptions bested the mark set by Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua set just last season.
What stands out is that Bowers has been able to enjoy the season he has had while overcoming questionable quarterback play throughout the year. If Bowers is putting up video game-like numbers this early on, he will emerge as a perennial Pro Bowler.
Crosby, who has been named to his fourth straight Pro Bowl, has been slowed by an ankle injury throughout the season. Ultimately, Crosby decided to get arthroscopic surgery on his ankle before Week 15 against the Atlanta Falcons and was shut down for the rest of the season.
Despite the injury, Crosby still put up seven and a half sacks in 12 games to lead the Raiders in that category. He also added 45 tackles (17 for loss), 20 quarterback hits and five passes defended.
Unfortunately for Crosby, his injury and rehabilitation process likely means he will have to miss out on the Pro Bowl Games. An alternate has yet to be named in the event Crosby cannot participate in the events.
After the Raiders’ season concludes against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, fans will get one more chance to watch Bowers. With the seasons he and Crosby have had, the honor is well-deserved.
