Ty Law: Peyton Manning would try getting me drunk for info on Patriots defense

Former Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning would do anything to beat Tom Brady and the Patriots ... and that included trying to decipher New England's defense in some creative ways.

Former Patriots defensive back and five-time Pro Bowler Ty Law said Manning would try to get him drunk in order to pick his brain about the New England defense.

“Peyton would try to get you,” Law said on WEEI this week, as transcribed by Pro Football Talk's Michael David Smith. “Once you get over to the Pro Bowl, you’re on the same team. Peyton tried to get you drunk and then try to dig into your brain: ‘What did you see? Why did you do this?’ He’d feed you these mai tais, then he’d butter you up and ask you, ‘What did you see?’ and this and that. I was like, Peyton, I ain’t falling for that s–t.”

It's not surprising Manning decided to try and get information out of Law. He intercepted Manning five times in two playoff games when the quarterback was with the Colts. Law had three interceptions in the 2004 AFC Championship Game, which the Patriots won 24-14. He had two picks for 43 yards in the 2007 Wild Card matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Colts.

Law was a nightmare for opposing quarterbacks, so Manning would've been pretty lucky to get any information out of him.
