Tyler Shough’s MVP Odds Are Soaring After Four-Touchdown Performance

Tyler Shough entered the 2026 NFL season with the hope that he could emerge as a quality quarterback for the future for the New Orleans Saints after his strong end to the 2025 season.

Shough has done just that, and his recent performance in Week 3 against the Las Vegas Raiders has done more than just show he can be their future; it has propelled his MVP odds.

Tyler Shough Has Put the NFL On Notice

While the Saints ultimately lost to the Raiders, it wasn’t due to a lack of effort from Shough. He ended up completing 29-of-42 passes for 255 yards, four touchdowns, and only one interception.

Shough repeatedly finished drives in the end zone and showed that the first two weeks of the season weren’t flukes, as he had accumulated 662 yards and four touchdowns with only two interceptions across those first two games.

The consistency from Shough will be key to keeping him in the MVP race, but his production has already shifted the narrative around New Orleans and Shough’s future to start 2026.
