Tyler Warren injury update: ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler provides latest on Colts TE’s status for Week 3

Tyler Warren has been as good as advertised for the Colts. However, the Indianapolis tight end is dealing with a bit of a toe issue ahead of Week 3.

As they look to stay undefeated, the Colts are hoping their rookie pass catcher will be out there against the Titans. According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler on SportsCenter, Warren “should be good to go” in Tennessee tomorrow.

That’s fantastic news for quarterback Daniel Jones. He’s been everything the Colts could’ve wanted and more since coming over as a free agent this offseason. Fowler shed some light on his resurgence during his hit on ESPN.

“Let me take it back to the offseason. When Daniel Jones got to Indianapolis, the Colts quickly realized how smart he was. They gave him cut-ups from the previous year to show what they wanted from the offense, and he went through them in just a few days before asking for more of the playbook. That was a good sign,” Fowler explained. “When they broke down his Giants tape, they saw some areas for improvement—his footwork was a little slow, and his pocket decision-making was sometimes delayed.

“That was partly because his supporting cast in New York wasn’t great, especially with offensive line issues. The Colts worked with him on those areas, and he responded quickly. With a stronger supporting cast in Indy, he’s now averaging 9.3 yards per attempt, which leads the league.”

So far, Jones has been among the best quarterbacks in the entire league, passing for 588 yards and two touchdowns while running for three touchdowns as well. He beat out Anthony Richardson for the gig, and now he has a stranglehold on it in Indianapolis.

Perhaps it could lead to Jones being a late bloomer in the NFL. We’ve seen it with other quarterbacks where it doesn’t work out with their first team, and a later stop becomes their home. Guys like Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield come to mind.

As for Warren, he has 11 catches in 2025. That’s accounted for 155 yards for the Colts. He’ll be looking for touchdown No. 1 of his career against the Titans.

That game will get underway at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday in Tennessee. We’ll see which AFC South team is victorious, as the Titans look for their first win of the season against their division rival.
