Tyler Warren is one of the top tight ends in the 2025 NFL Draft class. He spoke with the media on Thursday and had some interesting things to say about himself as a player.
He met formally with the Colts and even had some thoughts to share about Colts legend Dallas Clark, who just so happens to wear the same jersey number 44.
If you're not comping Tyler Warren to Dallas Clark you're not doing it right. Or you're just too young.

Warren was asked why he wears the number 44, and to the dismay of Colts fans, it isn't for Dallas Clark. He shared that the reason he wears 44 is actually because his father used to show him film of former NFL running back John Riggins and tell him that's how he should run the football.
He was asked directly about Clark, though, and he certainly remembers watching him dominate on the field with Peyton Manning. Here is what Warren had to say: "Growing up, I knew the name and knew him playing with Peyton Manning, Reggie Wayne, and those guys. That’s a good example to have the 44 tight end. He’s a great player."
The Colts drafted Clark with the 24th pick in the 2003 NFL Draft. He played for the franchise from 2003- to 2011 and recorded 427 catches for 4,887 yards and 46 touchdowns. His best season came in 2009 when he caught 100 passes for 1,106 yards and 10 touchdowns.
His college career at Iowa saw him record two solid seasons where he recorded a total of 1,251 yards and eight touchdowns. Warren nearly surpassed those numbers in just one year, recording 1,233 yards and eight touchdowns. So, him joining Clark in the elite club of TEs to be drafted in the first round seems very likely. And who knows, maybe it'll be to the same team with the Colts owning pick 14.
