Tyreek Hill suffered a shoulder injury in Week 1 that is expected to keep him out for at least a month, but the Kansas City Chiefs star gave reporters a glimpse on Wednesday of how nicely his recovery appears to be going.
Before the Chiefs held their practice, ESPN’s Adam Teicher observed Hill with no sling on his arm dribbling a basketball with each hand.
Tyreek Hill was in Chiefs locker room before practice and he didn’t look like a guy who was going to be out much longer. He no longer had his right arm in a sling and he was dribbling a basketball . . . With each hand

Does that sound like a guy who will be sidelined much longer? Of course, feeling great and being cleared by doctors are two entirely different things. If you ask Patrick Mahomes, it sounds like Hill is ready to put the pads on and play in Week 3.
Mahomes said Tyreek Hill is so eager to play, he sometimes needs to tell him: "man you gotta rest for just a second." Was injured Week 1 against Jax. https://t.co/ycEKd2dSeU

Hill hurt his shoulder on a hard hit from Jalen Ramsey in the season opener, and he was taken to the hospital as a precaution. The Chiefs have gotten good news since and decided not to put him on injured reserve, which is a positive sign. Kansas City has plenty of other options in its explosive offense and managed to put up 28 points in Sunday’s win over the Oakland Raiders, so there’s no need to rush Hill back no matter how good he may be feeling.
