The Indianapolis Colts tried to get a little too cute with their schedule release video and wound up getting into some trouble with both Microsoft and Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill.
In their now-deleted video, the Colts seemingly made reference to Hill's infamous arrest on the streets of Miami in 2024 by showing a video of a dolphin being arrested.
Earlier today, the Colts offered an apology both to Hill for the imagery and to Microsoft for exceeding their rights in using the Microsoft-owned video game Minecraft to make the footage.
"We removed our schedule release video because it exceeded our rights with Microsoft and included an insensitive clip involving Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill. We sincerely apologize to Microsoft and Tyreek," the team said in a statement.
But it appears that Hill wasn't as offended as some people might think.
Speaking to ESPN, Hill's agent Drew Rosenhaus revealed that Hill actually laughed about the video after hearing about. Hill even told him that he felt they didn't need to take the video down because of him.
"He laughed about it and didn't think they needed to take it down on his account," Rosenhaus said, via ESPN's Stephen Holder.
Granted, the greater pressure to take down the video might have come from Microsoft - a multinational corporation that may be worth more than the entire NFL put together - than from a wide receiver who knows how to laugh at himself.

NFL fans don't think that the Colts should have had to apologize or pull the video either:
"They had to apologize for Tyreek Hill getting arrested? Did Tyreek Hill apologize for getting arrested?" one user noted.
"They literally MURDERED Will Levis...where's that apology? lol," another wrote, referencing a scene of Levis seemingly getting hit by a bus.
"They knew what they were doing lol once it's on the internet it's stays on the internet forever."
"Since when does football have to be sensitive. However the Microsoft part of it, that's probably legit."
"Miami has the opportunity to do the funniest thing and trade Hill to Indy."
It's a shame something so funny has to be taken down over something so benign.
