Tyreek Hill left Chiefs' practice Thursday due to a hamstring injury, making him the latest member of the Kansas City receiving corps to potentially miss time due to injury.
Hill caught a touchdown during a one-on-one drill when he suffered the undisclosed injury. According to ESPN's Adam Teicher, Hill was able to walk off the field on his own but there has not yet been any official news about the nature of the injury.
Sammy Watkins is currently sitting out of practice due to a groin injury and if Hill is forced to miss time, the receiving corps will be down to just a few options. It is not yet clear how much time Watkins is expected to miss.
Hill is perhaps the most dangerous weapon in the Chiefs offensive arsenal (if you aren't including Patrick Mahomes), as he is an impossibly fast receiver who has managed to terrorize defenses whenever he is on the field. In his one full season with the Chiefs in 2018, he caught 87 passes for 1,479 yards and 12 touchdowns. Hill previously said he expected this to be his best season yet.
"I’m taking a different approach this year," he told reporters. "I’m doing yoga two times per week. I’ve been trying to open up my hips a lot more, opening up my glutes. I’ve been feeling amazing. It’s gonna be crazy. I feel like this is gonna be a crazy year for me. I’m excited."
