Tyreek Hill Named in CeeDee Lamb Development on Sunday

CeeDee Lamb and the Dallas Cowboys improved to 3-3-1 on the 2025 NFL season with a 44-22 win over Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders in Week 7. Lamb had missed the previous three games with an ankle sprain suffered in Week 3, which left George Pickens as the team’s top receiver. But Lamb picked up right where he left off, recording five catches for 110 yards and a touchdown.

Lamb has been one of the league’s top receivers since joining the Cowboys in 2020. Entering the Week 7 matchup, he had recorded four touchdown catches of 50 yards or more, trailing only Miami Dolphins wideout Tyreek Hill (five) for the second-most in the NFL since 2023.

But on the first play of a Dallas drive late in the first quarter, Dak Prescott hit Lamb for a 74-yard score, extending the Cowboys' lead to 17-8. In doing so, Lamb has now tied Hill for the second-most touchdown receptions of 50 or more yards. Only Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase has more with eight.

This also marked the second-longest catch of Lamb's career, trailing a 92-yard touchdown against the Detroit Lions in 2023.

Hill, unfortunately, suffered a season-ending injury, dislocating his knee and tearing his ACL along with other ligaments. The Miami Dolphins have fallen to 1-6 in his absence, but in the four games he played, the speedster recorded 21 catches for 265 yards and a touchdown.

Up next for Lamb and the Cowboys, a Week 8 matchup with Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos. Meanwhile, Hill continues his recovery as the Dolphins face the Atlanta Falcons next week.
