On NFL schedule release night, the Indianapolis Colts released their schedule release video, which was shortly thereafter deleted from their social media channels. The video was taken down partly due to the portrayal of Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill.
The Colts video was done in the style of Minecraft and features Hill as a dolphin being stopped by the 'coast guard' in Minecraft. It was an insensitive inclusion, and the Colts later apologized to Hill for the video.
Not long after the Colts issued an apology, which they sent through Hill's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, Hill's reaction became known. ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that, according to Rosenhaus Hill, "didn't take the Colts' schedule release post seriously and he thought it was funny."

While not an official statement, Hill's response is a best-case scenario for the Colts. There was a possibility that Hill took great offense, which would've been warranted, but Hill instead viewed it as unserious and even funny.
The Colts drew criticism for including an insensitive clip in their schedule release video, which referenced Tyreek Hill being stopped by police for a minor traffic violation ahead of the Dolphins' 2024 season opener. The charges were dropped later, but the incident cast a shadow over Hill's season before it started.
Indianapolis eventually deleted the video from its social media platforms, but not before fans had already saved and shared it, ensuring the moment, and the mistake, lived on.
The following is the Colts' apology: "We removed our schedule release video because it exceeded our rights with Microsoft and included an insensitive clip involving Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill. We sincerely apologize to Microsoft and Tyreek."
Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team on X shared the Colts' apology to Microsoft and Hill, along with the video which forced the team to apologize.

The Colts took the video down because of their insensitive jab at Tyreek Hill and failed to secure the rights to use Minecraft's likeness for their schedule release.
Unlike Indianapolis, the Los Angeles Chargers obtained the necessary permissions to use Minecraft as the theme for their video. The Colts' social media team ended up with a disastrous rollout, ultimately having to apologize to Microsoft and Hill.
Fortunately for the Colts, Hill didn't take any offense from their insensitive joke; Hill even found it funny.
Hill will get his 'revenge' against the Colts in week one of the 2025 NFL season, as the Colts host the Dolphins in Indianapolis to kick off essential seasons for both teams.
