Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill made some headlines on Sunday afternoon with his postgame comments after the team's loss, ending their season short of the playoffs.
“Yeah, I’m opening the door — I’m out, bruh,” Hill said to reporters. “So, it was great playing here, but at the end of the day, I’ve got to do what’s best for my career and what’s best — because I’m too much of a competitor to be just out there.”
There was a lot of speculation about how serious Hill was about those comments, since they came in the heat of the moment after a frustrating loss where the former All-Pro had just two catches for 20 yards. For anyone who was unsure, though, Hill made it very clear that he was serious about his "I'm out" comments on Monday.
On social media, Hill changed his profile picture on X to an edited image of his face on Antonio Brown's body, throwing up the peace sign without a shirt on. For those familiar with NFL history, the original image of Brown came when he left the Tampa Bay Buccaneers mid-game, and tore his jersey off before running off the field and declaring that he was leaving the franchise.

It feels pretty safe to say that Hill will be looking for a new team next season, though he is under contract through 2025 with the Dolphins.
"This is my first time I haven’t been in the playoffs, man, so, I mean, for me, I’ve just got to do what’s best for me and my family," Hill said on Sunday. "If that’s here, or wherever the case may be — I’m [about to] open that door for myself."
Hill had his lowest season output this season since 2019, with just 959 receiving yards and six touchdowns. The TD number ties the lowest mark of Hills career, with the only other time he had six touchdowns coming in his rookie season.
