Tyreek Hill throws more support behind Tua Tagovailoa

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is praising his quarterback once again.

Hill knows about playing with an elite quarterback. He won a Super Bowl alongside Patrick Mahomes with the Kansas City Chiefs, after all.

Is his current running mate, Tua Tagovailoa, that kind of quarterback, though?

There are certainly question marks about Tua, like many (read: most) quarterbacks, but the quotes in favor of Tagovailoa are starting to pile up.

There was Hill saying that Tua was more accurate than Mahomes. That certainly got some headlines and head scratches. First-year head coach Mike McDaniel also praised Tagovailoa's throwing ability, saying that his quarterback has the most catchable ball he's ever seen.

In the wake of Miami's 31-27 win over the Detroit Lions plus a trade deadline that saw the Dolphins add some major pieces to the puzzle, it's worth noting that Hill is right back to praising his quarterback, going as far as to say that Tua makes him "look right" as a wide receiver.

It's worth noting that this quote from Hill came on the heels of Dolphins general manager Chris Grier praising the franchise's quarterback.

“I will say we’re very, very happy with how Tua is playing and what he’s done for us," Grier said, per USA Today's Safid Deen. "It’s been exciting to see him blossom here on and off the field."

Back to Hill. He's caught 69 passes already this season for 961 yards and two touchdowns. An incredible 12 of those receptions and 188 of those yards came last weekend against Detroit with Tagovailoa back in the saddle for the second straight game after the scary concussion saga that, frankly, could have ended his season.

Tagovailoa has thrown for 1,678 yards and 12 touchdowns this season compared to three interceptions in just six games.
